General Information

The time and funds needed to go:

  • Time: 2 or 3 weeks. Camp sessions last 18 to 21 days through out the summer beginning the first of June through the end of August. You are invited to help Change a Nation
  • Funds: Approximately $3,500 a person (expenses will fluctuate)
    This amount provides for:
    • Roundtrip international airfare.
    • Lodging during international travel
    • Ukraine in-country travel, lodging and meals
    • At-camp costs of camp stay.
    • Translator expenses and fees for accompanying team in Ukraine
    • Crafts and teaching materials required at camp
    • Miscellaneous Ukraine in-country expenses

Additional Personal costs associated with trip:

  • Passport
  • Recommended inoculations
  • Travel to Team Training
  • Health insurance
  • Travel insurance (optional)
  • Extra food, drinks, souvenirs, sight-seeing expense.

EEM will assist:

  • In arranging translators
  • In arranging in-country travel and lodging options
  • In arranging a camp for each team

EEM will provide:

  • Training for team members and team leaders. (this does not include transportation).
  • Curriculum guidelines and resources for teaching at camp.
  • Bibles and Bible related materials for all campers and staff.

Becoming a team member

Once the application process is completed, the applicant will be notified of acceptance as a team member. If applying individually and not as part of a congregation or university group, the team member will be notified of the team he/she will be joining.

 

Once a Team Member

  • Pray for the effectiveness of the trip
  • Secure a passport. Your passport must have an expiration date that has at least 6 months remaining, from the date you leave for camp.
  • Attend team meetings. Team meetings provide each team member the opportunity to prepare themselves as well as the lessons, crafts, skits, songs and games for camp. Distanced team members are able to actively participate with a team through email, phone calls, internet messaging.
  • Attend Team Training. Team Training is an intensive 2 day weekend event that is designed to equip and prepare team members for this mission. It includes all aspects of the trip from details about camp, the trip to Ukraine and its culture to learning a little Russian or Ukrainian and everything in between.
  • Begin raising funds/financial support. Team members will receive a fund raising packet that includes materials and instructions for raising the necessary funds for this mission effort.
  • Update inoculations. You are encouraged to follow your personal doctor’s recommendations for necessary inoculations.
  • Anticipate a life changing experience!
